Kenya Prisons Service 2012 Warders & Wardresses Recruitment

2011, recruitment of Warders & Wardresses into Kenya Prisons Service did not take place.

A source informed me that the Prisons Staff Training College in Ruiru had been hired by one of the paramilitary police services to train some of its recruits and this must have hindered recruitment.

Since the last Kenya Prisons Service recruitment was done in 2010, there is a possibility that the service shall conduct a recruitment exercise in 2012 as they must be short of staff.

However, we should note that the coming general elections may affect the recruitment as the Government will spend billions of funds to finance the elections.
