Kenya's Armed Security Forces 2011 Recruitment Update

RECRUITMENT OF PERSONNEL INTO THE SECURITY FORCES IN KENYA FOR THE YEAR 2011


The year begun with recruitment of  Rangers into the Kenya Wildlife Service in January in which 500  candidates from all 47 counties in Kenya were recruited.

The Kenya Wildlife Service Rangers  recruitment  this year was meant to address staffing short fall considering the fact that the previous rangers recruitment had taken place in December 2004.

The Kenya Police & Administration Police recruitment took place  recently in the month of April. It was conducted on the same day through out the Country.

7000 positions up for grabs were distributed to all 286 districts in Kenya. 4000 recruits joined the Administration Police while the other 3000 the Kenya Police.

The Government had announced that it plans to recruit 14000 police officers ahead of the 2012 general elections. So, a second Kenya Police recruitment is expected later this year or early next year.


The Kenya Defence Forces(military), Prisons Service, Forest Service Rangers & National Youth Service are yet to announce recruitment for the year 2011.
